Once upon a time, in a land far, far away called the internet, two geeks named Deb and Howie met and bonded over our love of Star Trek the Next Generation.

We met in person at Comic Con, and quickly fell in love.

Fast forward a year, we helped run the first Vermont Renaissance Faire in 2016.

That weekend was blistering hot, and we realized nobody was selling parasols or hand fans. Kings Kollections was officially born a few months later and we enjoyed selling our wares, making enough money to buy all the fun things being sold at these events.

We were set to vend the Sci-Fi Fantasy Expo in Vermont in 2019 and noticed nobody was planning to sell magic wands. Deb quickly got to work making 60 wands to test them out and 40 were sold at their debut event. We knew we were on to something! Our wands are still one of our biggest sellers as they are all handmade, without any two ever being exactly alike.

Our next experiment was making Dragon Eggs. These were also very well received, and we now sell hundreds each year at our various events. We currently offer four different sizes and dozens of different color options. One of the highlights of our in-person shows is seeing our repeat customers coming back to add to their collection.

Going further into our magical, mystical, geekiness…Deb started playing around with magic potions. The first versions were very basic and small. We started with just a few choices, and we currently offer a dozen different potions. We debuted our D20 dice potions at the NH Renaissance Faire in May of 2023 and they were a huge hit!

Howie used to joke around that his role in the business was to “pick things up and put things down” during set up and breakdown. He jumped into the creative side of things for our last two shows in 2023 with his 3D printed dragons. There was a great deal of excitement for these dragons, so he will be staying busy creating during our two month break between vending seasons. 

We have lots of plans to take the business to the next level in 2024 and beyond.
